Our client came to us with a clear goal: build a language-learning platform that felt personal, always available, and deeply intuitive. That idea became Buddie Speak, an app designed to make learning a new language as natural as chatting with a friend.
Built with Flutter for cross-platform compatibility, and Firebase for real-time data sync and user authentication, Buddie Speak delivers a seamless experience on both iOS and Android.
AI conversations and dynamic roleplays
We integrated OpenAI's GPT-based APIs to bring the platform to life through two key features:
Chatbot Conversations: Users interact with an adaptive AI tutor that responds intelligently, corrects errors, suggests improvements, and adjusts to the user's proficiency.
Interactive Roleplays: From job interviews to travel situations, users can practice through fully tailored scenarios, or create custom ones for niche use cases.
Personalized learning through smart feedback
The app uses an AI-driven onboarding to assess the user's current level, then adjusts the difficulty of chats and roleplays in real-time.
With every interaction, the system refines its responses, providing ongoing feedback and tracking progress to support long-term learning.
